SR20 Binaries

If you are into re-mapping your SR20 then you'll need a "base map" to start with. These are usually dowloaded via the Consult port (or the actual memory chip can be removed, read and replaced - but this can get messy).

We've started this page as a free resource for SR guys so anyone can have access to base maps for their SR. We've uploaded some bins to kick things off. The idea is that people contribute maps that they have, so that eventually a comprehensive list is created.

In order to ensure a quality resource we'd like to only include binaries that you've extracted/used yourself. In other words please don't send files that you've just "found on the net" which haven't actually been tried.

If you'd like to contribute please email the file to me and I'll add it to the list. Please include the PN from the ECU (e.g. "50F00"), engine type (e.g. "SR20DET"), and vehicle (e.g. 1992 JDM 180SX S13). Oh, and your name/alias if you want.

FAQs

What's the difference between a "map" and a "binary"?

The two terms are pretty much used interchangeably. "Binary" is probably the more correct term as the files are actually the binary code that the micro inside the ECU uses to run the engine. "Maps" are really just tables within the binaries that are used for fuel , ignition timing etc.

"Base map" is a commonly used term for an unmodified binary. It is the starting point for modification.

We do our best to verify that the details on this page are correct. If you find an error please let us know so we can fix it up. Thanks heaps. Pete.
