ORDERING

To order

  1. Email us with details of your order and we'll provide a quote including delivery and any transfer fees. We try hard to keep everything in stock, so most orders are shipped the day after funds clear.
  2. Transfer the appropriate amount in $AU via PayPal to pl@plmsdevelopments.com. Australian residents can send an Oz Post money order or use EFT (direct deposit) - email us for details.
  3. We will inform you of when the goods will ship. Usually next day.
  4. If you are sending us something (ECU, wiring loom etc.) please don't send via courier without prior arrangement. They have issues with delivery to a PO Box. Please use Oz Post - preferably registered.

International customers please note we only accept paypal for overseas payment. Bank cheques or Western Union are no longer accepted due to costs and hassles on our end.


GST

Australian orders as of 1st March 2009 will attract 10% GST charges. You will be issued with a Tax Invoice containing the amount of GST charged. This does not apply to orders shipped to customers outside Australia.


Exchange Rates

All our prices are quoted in Australian Dollars ($AU) and international customers can pay via Paypal in $AU so no need to convert. Generally $AU are worth less than $US making our gear much cheaper for US customers. To see what the cost will be in your currency just go here and enter the details.


Shipping - Within Australia

We use the standard Australia Post mail service. Delivery is generally 2 to 3 days. Goods can also be sent Express Post Platinum for an increased cost.


Shipping - International

Two options exist for shipping international orders. The premium (and recommended) option is EMS global courier. This is becoming a very popular service as it provides fastest possible delivery, expedited customs clearance and full tracking. Cost is around $AU55 for most items. We'll let you know the actual shipping cost when you place your order. We will insist on using EMS for countries which have proven to have unreliable postal systems (Italy).

The second option is regular Air Mail. This is generally a reliable, relatively fast and cost effective service to most countries. Delivery is usually 7 to 10 working days (to most destinations) but it depends on how long customs take to process the goods in your country. Most shipments arrive on time but sometimes it can take up to 4 weeks. Obviously we have no control over delivery times or lost packages - tracking is not available with this service.

* We generally calculate postage by taking the actual postage cost and adding $AU5 for packing materials, packaging labour and time spent driving to the Post Office and waiting in line when we could be doing more interesting things.

Important: To comply with the Customs Act we must declare all goods as invoiced and packaged. The declared value of your consignment will only be for physical items posted. Please do not ask us to mark as a lower value, gift or otherwise.

Paypal fees

Paypal is a wonderful service - particularly for international transactions. And it's instant - so when you send us money we get it as fast as it takes to email us. No waiting for funds to clear. But like all good things it comes at a price. For international orders it's 4% and for Australian orders it's 3%. This will be added to your quote (if applicable).
